Lewd4Dead has been around for ages now
Anime and Left 4 Dead just seem to outlast everything.
Lewd4Dead has become an official part of Left 4 Dead 2 history.
To be honest, the names I created back then came from a time right after I finished high school. I was just a gullible kid messing around with programming and internet culture nonsense.
Now that I am older, some of those names make me cringe quite a bit, but I guess it is too late to change history.
My server was originally inspired by Noob4Dead. It had the same concept, and I used to enjoy playing there all the time, especially as the infected team.
When the Noob4Dead servers shut down around 2012, I got frustrated and thought:
That eventually led to the creation of Hentai Rape. The name was admittedly stupid, but edgy internet humor and meme culture were at their peak during that era.Fine, I will do it myself.
In 2016, the Hentai Rape Steam group was deleted, which I assume was due to the name itself violating Steam policies. After that, I recreated the community as Lewd4Dead. The new name was suggested by someone else, though it was still intentionally silly.
There were dramas here and there over the years, but the servers continued running.
Fast forward from 2013 to 2026, and thanks to support from my friends, including friends from Japan, the servers are still alive and operating around the world.
Hearing a YouTuber say that Lewd4Dead has become part of Left 4 Dead 2 history honestly feels surreal after maintaining the servers for so many years.
